We Welcome Police Youth Engagement Officer, James

Unified Academy welcomed James, Police Youth Engagement Officer for Mole Valley. It was a very successful visit, James answered every question students asked him and he talked about the impact of knife crimes, the fact that the Police often have an amnesty for people to hand in their knives and the laws around the carrying of knives. During the session we noticed the boys perception of the Police becoming more positive and some boys requested he visit again.

Students’ response:

‘He was interesting’

‘What he said made sense’

‘I didn’t realise there was so much knife crime’

‘Can he come back again and talk about other stuff’

‘He’s alright for a policeman’
