Students launch new weekly newsletter at Unified Academy

Unified Academy is launching a new weekly newsletter for parents, carers and the wider school community. 

The newsletter produced by the students will be shared every Friday to provide regular updates on school news, upcoming events, student achievements and important reminders. The newsletter will make it easier for our families to stay informed and hear about the wonderful events and activities taking part at the school such as multi-sensory learning, off-site visits and creative artwork.  

Principal Belle Thomas said; “The aim was to put the students at the heart of this new initiative, so they feel involved and part of the communication – sharing what they are doing in school. The weekly newsletter will help ensure key information doesn’t get missed and will also allow us to celebrate the successes of our students.” 

The newsletter will be distributed via email and published on the school’s website, helping to reduce paper use and ensure easy access for families and the community. 

The first edition of the weekly newsletter is expected to be released in January 2026 and feedback from parents/carers is welcomed via the school office.
