Remote Home Learning

During this period of remote home learning, you can access your child’s daily learning by clicking on the relevant year group. Your child’s tutor will let you know which work is relevant for your child.

Our aim is to achieve a carefully blended package that is individually adapted to the needs of each student.

Years 6 to 9 curriculum will be made up of, English, Maths, PSHE and Topic

Years 10 and 11 curriculum will be made up of, English, Maths, PSHE and Options.

Enrichment and Careers content will be available for all students.

We will send you a stamped addressed envelope for you to post your child’s work back to school. Please also send in or email stories and photos of your home learning experiences and we will share them with students and staff to help keep our school community connected.

We recognise that isolation and disruption can be distressing for students and families, and that the expectations of formal remote home learning can put an additional strain on some families. Encourage your child to continue learning whilst at home to maximise continued progress and provide important structure throughout the day.

If you have any queries regarding our remote home learning provision, please raise any questions with your child’s tutor during your weekly tutor call.

We our working towards delivering our remote curriculum electronically via the learning platform Microsoft Teams as well as paper-based resources and materials if appropriate.

My son joined Unified Academy in September 2020 and it is the best educational setting for him.  As a parent, I was apprehensive about my son attending a new place, but the experience for him has been fantastic. Having had a tough time in previous schools, his attitude to attending school has been difficult. Unified Academy has changed his attitude towards school and that is thanks to the positivity of all the staff.  My son finally feels accepted and that is a great weight off my shoulders!
