Chart Wood School was inspected by Ofsted on the 24th and 25th April 2019 and the overall judgement is that the school requires special measures.

Chart Wood School converted to academy status on the 1st January 2019 and now comes under the leadership of Orchard Hill College Academy Trust (OHCAT). OHCAT has a strong track record of improving schools that need significant support and is committed to working with the school team, pupils and their families in order to secure the best possible education and outcomes for all our children.

What is now important is that we provide Chart Wood School with the skilled support needed to move forward and to take action in each of the areas identified by Ofsted. We have in place experienced leaders from across the Trust who are supporting the School and a new Headteacher has been appointed to start in September 2019.
