Science education provides the foundations for understanding the world through its component areas of biology, chemistry and physics. Students will learn how science can change and improve our lives and is vital to national prosperity.
Our science curriculum is planned to evoke curiosity, enquiry and understanding about the world around our students through a scientific eye. The curriculum allows students to develop key skills that prepare learners for adulthood and the world of work. Providing the skills to challenge and ask questions through the development of both knowledge and skill across the breadth of science disciplines. The curriculum provides regular opportunities for practical work and offering opportunities for children to learn outdoors where appropriate.
At the end of Year 11, students have the opportunity to gain national qualification in science, either Entry Level or GCSEs.
