Careers Education

At Unified Academy, all students in years 8 – 11, have access to a weekly timetabled Careers Education Programme that encompasses the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks.  Students learn through an enriched curriculum which develops the skills and attitudes required to enable students to become successful and independent within adulthood. Students are guided throughout their curriculum with personalised targets to ensure that each learning experience is meaningful and helps every individual achieve their full potential.

Unified Academy supports careers development through high quality and personalised work experience opportunities, internal enterprise projects as well as bespoke planning and preparation of student career pathways.

My son joined Unified Academy in September 2020 and it is the best educational setting for him.  As a parent, I was apprehensive about my son attending a new place, but the experience for him has been fantastic. Having had a tough time in previous schools, his attitude to attending school has been difficult. Unified Academy has changed his attitude towards school and that is thanks to the positivity of all the staff.  My son finally feels accepted and that is a great weight off my shoulders!
