Celebrating World Book Day

Students at Unified Academy are encouraged to read all year round, but World Book Day brought an extra special celebration of literature and creativity.

To mark the occasion, some students embraced the spirit of the day by dressing up as their favourite literary characters they were also encouraged to share their favourite reads with classmates, sparking discussions about books that have inspired them.

A highlight of the day was a special trip for Year 7 students to Waterstones bookshop, where they had the chance to redeem their World Book Day vouchers for a brand-new book of their choice. This exciting outing encouraged students to explore new genres and discover fresh stories to enjoy.

The celebration was a fantastic reminder of the joy and importance of reading, reinforcing Unified Academy’s commitment to fostering a love for books among its students.
