One of our Year 6 classes have been looking at Advent, and finding out what it means. They have learnt that advent is a time of preparation for Christmas which is usually celebrated by Christians.

The students have made their own “kindness calendar”. There are 24 days (one for each day in advent) and behind each door there is an act of kindness for students to complete that day. The class have been inviting any visitors to try the kindness challenge too. Students have learnt that being kind to one person a day can improve your own mental health.

As the class did not have a chocolate calendar like everyone else, they did receive a chocolate for completing their own act of kindness!
