Pupils and staff have been discussing a new name and logo for the school. Pupils from the student council collected views from across the school and created the new logo. The colour was important for the pupils to represent the inclusivity of the school. Pupils felt that purple was gender, race and sexuality neutral. The pupils were clear that the position of the hands represented the ethos of the school – strong, supportive and a feeling of togetherness. We are really pleased with the meaning behind the logo.

As a school we feel this is a badge we can all stand behind. We are very proud of our pupils for developing such a meaningful and cohesive idea. We can’t wait to see what we will all achieve together at Unified Academy in September.
